The NEW LOOK Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast – Set to Make Waves in 2014

With change comes opportunity. And with opportunity comes inspiration. This summer, the Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast will transform with this very ethos in mind. Riding a fresh wave of economic development sweeping the city of Gold Coast, the international Watermark Hotel Group will make a multimillion dollar injection into the property – the largest since its launch in 1996.               On street level, a beautiful architecturally inspired precinct is set to make its mark on the Gold Coast landscape, setting a contemporary precedent in both hotel design innovation and dining experience. Creatively culinary. Communally eclectic. That is what the integrated new lobby, restaurant, bar and boulevard alfresco lounge and deck will deliver to guests and patrons. Designed by Brisbane-based architectural firm Brand + Slater – Director, Luis Nheu believes; ‘Surfers Paradise is crying out for a change – a new style and quality for both locals and tourists alike. The reinvention of the Watermark will provide a mix of exceptional offers that the area has been waiting for, and will set a benchmark for the precinct.’422785_num1009857_600x600

Like Nheu; Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast – CEO, Max Takamizawa, sees the investment as a positive step not only for the hotel, but also for Surfers Paradise businesses, the community and visitors alike; ‘With the new light rail station on our doorstep, we saw this as a great catalyst to breathe fresh life into the property. This is why we are opening up the eastern side of the building to Surfers Paradise Boulevard, with exciting dining and entertainment venues; a seamless alfresco interaction between our guests, fellow visitors and locals. New hotel rooms will also complement our new street level look. We’re changing the face of the neighbourhood – it’s one to watch.’

Watermark Business Events & Meetings are still offering the option of eight diverse venues catering for smaller groups and satellite meetings right through to larger events and conferences; the hotel’s conference facilities are also set to receive a multimillion dollar state of the art upgrade in 2015. The new establishments opening in December 2014 will also offer unique spaces to stage business activity within, or as modern dining, entertainment and hosting options. Partner and incentive programs are also welcomed by the Watermark more so than ever, with this revived experience soon available to corporate clients. The offer of two pools, W Lounge upgrade and indulgent in house L’Aqua Day Spa are also luxuries no well-seasoned traveller would turn down. With the G:link Surfers Paradise station on the hotel’s doorstep, it has never been easier to get around the city from Southport through to Broadbeach – particularly for groups.

Complementing recent Superior Room modern refurbishments will be chic new styling for all Deluxe Rooms, with interior design direction taking on an inspired urban-studio feel.
All Watermark rooms are ideal accommodation options for:

• Major local events such as the Gold Coast Marathon, Gold Coast 600 and Magic Millions (among others)
• Booking blocks for The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and Griffith University Campus and Hospital
• Stylish and affordable corporate accommodation.

Package options are available across all room types.

The new look Watermark Hotel & Spa is set to make waves in 2014 – be sure to get on board for an entirely new Gold Coast experience.
