The Only MBA Dedicated to the Business of Italian Food & Wine Presented at New York City’s Eataly

Bologna Business School, formerly Alma Graduate School, the Master program of the University of Bologna, will host a special event at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13th at Eataly’s La Scuola Grande (200 Fifth Avenue – entrance on 23rd St.) to highlight their unique MBA in Food & Wine. The 12-month English language MBA program is focused on the exclusive studying of the most successful Italian enterprises in the gastronomy and enology sector, such as: Arnaldo Caprai Winery, Bastianich Winery, Consorzio Parmigiano Reggiano and Eataly, among others.

A select group of internationally renowned authorities in the Italian food & wine world will speak on a panel around the topic of discussion. Panelists include: Massimo Bergami (Dean, Bologna Business School), Massimo Bottura (Chef and Patron, Osteria Francescana, three-star Michelin restaurant), Oscar Farinetti (Founder, Eataly), Antonio Paco Giuliani (Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, University of Illinois at Chicago).

Also, alumni of the MBA in Food and Wine program, including Renee Finn, Marketing Manager for Gruppo Mezzacorona and Deanna D’Alfonso, Marketing Assistant of Gruppo Mezzacorona, will be in attendance to tell of their experience. After the presentation, wine and light fare will be served at a reception.

The MBA Program at Bologna Business School, has a strong bond with its territory – the renowned “Food Valley” – where one can find the richness of the Italian gastronomic and enological cultures. The MBA program includes a 500-hour internship comprised of project work designed to analyze real company problems, develop strategies, and create action plans together with upper level managers. The University’s Career Development Department will help participants pursue their career goals and will support them in the job seeking process.
