unnamed (3)A place to relax and unwind any time of the day, The Optimist is now serving an all-day menu on their street level floor. With an inviting ambience and friendly service, The Optimist downstairs has a European neighbourhood café feel, where locals can pop by any time of the day for an afternoon coffee and pastry, a quick yet hearty lunch or a breakfast date.

“Our loyal customers love to hang out for hours in our bright and airy ground-floor, so we decided to create an all-day menu of casual bites to keep them happy. As you would find in a popular corner-side café in Spain, our new menu focusses on fresh quality seasonal ingredients. Don’t miss our smoothie and juice bar where you can make your own fresh combinations to cleanse last night’s sins!” says Christian Talpo, co-founder of The Optimist.

Selections of small plates make for delicious starters or more-ish afternoon snacks. Nibble on Cold meat and cheese board (HKD180), Crostini and vegetable crudites (HKD85) or indulge in fresh Daniel Sorlut Oysters (HKD42).

Using freshly baked bread from a local bakery, The Optimist’s generously filled sandwiches, bagels and grilled ciabattas start from only HKD35. For those looking for something bigger to get their teeth around, The Optimist’s signature burger (HKD120) encases prime beef, Spanish Manchego cheese and a fried egg in a soft bun, served with side of hand cut chips.
