The Outlets at Assembly Row, the area’s newest shopping, dining and entertainment destination, has launched its Grand Opening Season which will continue throughout the year.

Many of the 42 outlets, restaurants and attractions have opened and more will come online as part of its “Grand Opening Season,” which runs now through the end of the year.

Anchored by AMC Assembly Row 12, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston and Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5TH, The Outlets at Assembly Row feature American branded outlet retailers, a variety of dining options and two entertainment attractions.

“We’re excited that our neighbors and visitors are now able to indulge in the fantastic array of food, shopping and attractions that make Assembly Row a destination unlike anything else in New England,” said Russ Joyner, VP and General Manager, Federal Realty at Assembly Row. “With our Grand Opening Season, visitors are going to discover something new every time they visit. We’ll have new outlets and restaurants opening throughout the summer and into the fall along with a full lineup of events and programs. Patio dining with views of the Mystic River, free parking and, in the near future, a designated MBTA subway stop, Assembly Row promises to deliver something for everyone – just seven minutes from Boston.”

“Saks OFF 5TH is thrilled to be part of The Outlets at Assembly Row,” said Jonathan Greller, President of Outlets, HBC. “The OFF 5TH brand is growing across the country and we are proud to be opening this location in the Boston market. We are incredibly excited to bring true fashion and real value to Boston shoppers.”

The Outlets at Assembly Row is home to the only LEGOLAND Discovery Center in New England, the first northeast location for Canadian-based burger and steak restaurant, Earls Kitchen + Bar and the first Pendleton Woolen Mills outlet store in Massachusetts. Athletic retailers PUMA, Reebok, and Converse, all with headquarters in Massachusetts, have opened outlet stores at The Outlets at Assembly Row.

Guests can expect a variety of activities throughout the year from the annual Riverfest in the fall, a jazz music series in the summer, annual holiday events, fitness classes along the river, a personalized shopping session with a fashion-forward retailer, a cooking lesson from an all-star chef, and the USA Outlet Festival, scheduled for Columbus Day Weekend, October 10-13, 2014.

Assembly Row will also be the home to a number of high-scale dining options. Regionally acclaimed Legal on the Mystic by Legal Sea Foods offers fresh New England seafood including clams, chowder, and lobster. Papagayo Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar serves fresh and authentic Mexican food with a great selection of tequila. Other full service restaurants include Earls Kitchen + Bar, Tony C’s Sports Pub and Fuji. Quick breakfast, lunch or dinner options will include PAUL Bakery, JP Licks Ice Cream, Which Wich, Burger Dive, Starbucks and Ernesto’s Pizza.

The Outlets at Assembly Row will feature a number of programs for FIT and group travel, including: meet and greets, welcome packets with discounts, commissionable shopping programs, hotel shop & stay packages, welcome bags for conventioneers, group-friendly dining opportunities, private event space and more. The Outlets at Assembly Row will cater to the motorcoach market and offer complimentary on-site parking for coaches. Tourism programs are customizable to make your experience more than you imagined.

The Outlets at Assembly Row is located directly on I-93, Boston’s main north-south highway corridor, with two exits leading directly into this new neighborhood. Free motorcoach parking, easy drop-off, and group-friendly programs will make Assembly Row a convenient destination for many tour operators, meeting planners, group travel leaders, receptive tour operators, and the domestic and international independent traveler. “Boston is an amazing city with so much to do. Visitors are often challenged to fit it all in,” says Andi Simpson, Director of Marketing & Tourism at Assembly Row. “For those seeking to include outlet shopping in their schedule but don’t want to drive two hours roundtrip to the region’s outlet malls, Assembly Row is a fantastic solution.”

“Greater Boston’s visitors love to shop, it’s their top activity while staying with us,” said Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Chief Executive Officer Pat Moscaritolo. “The Outlets at Assembly Row will be the first outlet shopping destination in the country to have a dedicated high speed transit rail station for visitors who prefer to use our MBTA system to move around the city. Assembly Station, the first new T station to be built in the Greater Boston area in more than 25 years, will deliver visitors to The Outlets at Assembly Row’s front door.”
