Art Series Hotel Group’s most popular stay and play game is checking in and is here to stay for the summer holiday season.
Known as The Overstay Checkout, guests will once again be able to make a booking at any of its six hotels, with the opportunity to stay on at no extra charge until the room is needed by another guest.
Art Series Hotel Group CEO Will Deague said the game had proven to be a great success and puts a stop to the international standard of requiring guests to leave by 10am.
“Our guests have told us that early checkout times are annoying, and we are constantly getting requests for late checkouts, so we thought this was a great way of addressing it,” Mr Deague said.
“Since we first introduced this we have doubled the number of hotels in our group and with that we’re looking to expand Overstay Checkout to give more than 600 room nights and 5000 hours free over this period.
“With the holidays being a particularly busy and stressful time for families, staying in an Art Series Hotel is a great alternative to having loads of relatives or friends cram into a home.”
Since it was first introduced in 2012, more than 2000 guests have taken advantage of the Overstay Checkout – enjoying the equivalent to 600 additional nights free.
How it works:
Guests stay the night at any Art Series hotel. The morning they are due to leave they can request an Overstay Checkout.
The hotel will then let the guests know exactly how late they can stay on, it could be 1pm, 3pm, early evening, or even the next day – it all depends on how full the hotel is for the night ahead and when the next guests are arriving.
If guests do stay another night, they can try their luck again the following morning. This process could continue indefinitely.
The Overstay Checkout runs across all six Art Series Hotels – The Olsen in South Yarra, The Blackman on St Kilda Road, The Cullen in Prahran, The Schaller Studio in Bendigo, The Larwill Studio in Parkville and The Watson in Adelaide from December 18 – January 17. Prices start from $149 per night.
