The Philippines, is a must see destination, with over 7,500 islands for couples to explore and enjoy.  The country’s islands offer surreal landscapes, world renowned beaches and some of the world’s most luxurious resorts and hotels to spend time together.  Boracay, Palawan and Cebu are a few tropical destinations which are perfect for romance with that special someone.  All three islands were included in the ‘Best Island in the World’ by Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2016, with Boracay taking out the honours this year.

Norjamin Delos Reyes, Tourism Attaché at Philippine Department of Tourism Australia and New Zealand said,

“The Philippines is a fantastic destination for couples offering multiple activities to do together, covering a range of interests.  Our islands and beaches provide one of the most picturesque backdrops to relax, dive and discover our tropical archipelago.  We have world class resorts and hotels, delicious Filipino cuisine and a number of spa experiences.  The Philippines captures everything a couple would want to do together, and it’s located just a short flight away from Australia, so couples should definitely add the Philippines to their bucket list of places to visit.”

On this award winning island couples will enjoy stunning sunsets radiating off the clear blue waters whilst relaxing together on pristine white sand beaches.  The Philippines offers beautiful five star accommodation, for instance, travellers can indulge at the elegant Shangri-La Resort and Spa in Boracay. The resort offers spacious suites on the beachfront, so guests can hear the waves and feel close to nature.

Palwan is one of the most well-known islands in the Philippines, with many describing it as ‘paradise’ and ‘heaven on Earth’.  The island offers its guests an expanse of coastline, breathtaking lakes, aqua lagoons, a UNESCO World heritage site and a magnitude of local wildlife.  Couples can spoil themselves by staying at the luxurious Amanpulo, a secluded romantic hideaway. Guests can choose to stay in a casitas or villas offering access to the beach.

This is the country’s oldest city, where Ferdinand Magellan first set foot on Philippine soil back in 1521.  Cebu offers couples, heritage sites, tranquil white sand beaches, stunning dive sites and a range of restaurants and bars to experience. Guests can stay in the deluxe Crimson Resort and Spa Mactun offering 250 guest rooms and 40 private villas.
