The Point Of ‘A Home Away from Home’ For Business Travellers

April 5, 2017 Hotel News No Comments Email Email

Business travellers staying at The Point Brisbane are handed a complimentary coffee made to order as they board a free inner city shuttle service.

General Manager Mr Aaron Roberts said these value-add services were just an example of how the hotel aimed to create a `home away from home’ for its corporate guests as our point of difference.

Mr Roberts said while competitive pricing was a given, he was finding companies increasingly looked for thoughtful value adds for their staff travelling on business.

“We have looked closely at how we can create a welcoming, comfortable environment for our corporate guests, at how our hotel will go the extra mile for guests who have a busy schedule, are travelling and working long days,” he said.

Mr Roberts said The Point Brisbane had developed a strong corporate market by consistently updating its services for business travellers.

“We operate a complimentary shuttle bus services and will drop off our corporate guests in the CBD or Fortitude Valley,” he said. “We hope a complimentary coffee to go will take the pain out of an early departure.”

Other complimentary services popular with the hotel’s corporate and leisure guests included secure valet parking, free Wi-Fi throughout and a free online newspaper and magazine service.

He said The Point’s location at inner-city Kangaroo Point was also an advantage in attracting corporate business. “We are just minutes from the CBD and The Gabba, and our guests seem to like being slightly removed from the city bustle,” said Mr Roberts.

“The hotel is now negotiating rates for corporate business, and we are dedicated to continuing to create a welcoming environment for business travellers who need to feel good while away from home.”

Brisbane’s leading independent hotel, The Point Brisbane comprises 202 deluxe rooms and suites. Guests enjoy access to 24 hour room service, concierge assistance, turn down service, pillow menu, complimentary secure valet parking, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, outdoor pool, gymnasium and free online newspaper and magazine service and Lamberts Restaurant and Bar open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Convenient to the Gabba, South Bank Parklands and Brisbane’s historic Story Bridge Hotel, The Point offers views of the river, New Farm, and CBD and the ease of being within minutes of city-centre shopping using the nearby City Cat ferry service.

From its rooftop location on the 12th floor, Eagles Nest Brisbane offers a truly “eagles eye” panoramic view of the river across to Eagle Street Pier, the Story Bridge and around to Southbank.
