The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore Launches Singapore’s First Louis Roederer Cristal Champange Sunday Brunch At Greenhouse

Brunch aficionados will be delighted to know that The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has launched Singapore’s first Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne Sunday Brunch at Greenhouse. Enjoy a convivial gathering with friends and loved ones over eight types of French and Canadian oysters shucked to order, luscious seafood, a ‘live’ foie gras station, roast carvings, a refined cheese selection and handcrafted desserts; perfectly complemented with unlimited flutes of vintage Louis Roederer champagne – the Cristal Brut Vintage 2006, or the 2007 Brut Vintage and2009 Brut Rosé Vintage.

Ever since Louis Roederer was founded in 1776, the house has been synonymous with the world’s great champagnes. It has been regarded as the unnamed (7)Hermes” of the Champagne region by the “Revue des Vins de France”, the oldest and one of the most reputable francophone publications specializing in wine reviews.

Revel in an elevated brunch experience when you opt to savour the extensive buffet paired with unlimited Louis Roederer Cristal Brut Vintage 2006. Created in 1876 by special request of Tsar Alexander II, Cristal has since become one of the world’s most famous and finest champagnes.

Produced during the best years when the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes have attained perfect maturity, Cristal is aged for five years in Louis Roederer’s cellars and left for a further eight months after dégorgement. The result is a remarkably balanced and refined champagne whose length is inimitable. It has a silky texture and fruity aromas, complemented by a powerful mineral quality with white fruit and citrus notes.

Both the Louis Roederer Brut Vintage and Brut Rosé Vintage are produced from 100 per cent Estate wines; Pinot Noir and Chardonnay only. The 2007 Brut Vintage is a great blend of mature yellow fruits, with a pure line of tangy orange zest. It is tightly textured with bright acidity and steely minerality.

The Louis Roederer Brut Rosé Vintage is produced by the traditional “maceration” method. The result is a more elegant and balanced wine with a delicate pink color. The 2009 vintage portrays the powerful expression of a grand cru wine, performing beyond its premier cru status. The fragrant red fruits have rich succulence and a chalky undertone. The finish is long and silky, showing hints of lightly roasted nuts and even cocoa powder.

The Vintage Champagne Brunch at Greenhouse is available on Sundays from 12.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. and priced as follows:

SGD 172 (with unlimited Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 2007, Louis Roederer Brut Rosé Vintage 2009, house pour red and white wines, selected cocktails/mocktails, soft drinks and fruit flavoured sparkling mineral water).
