Forbes Travel Guide today unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming The Shilla Seoul as a new Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. The Shilla Seoul is the only hotel in Korea to receive this prestigious honor.

Taking its name from Korea’s ancient Shilla Dynasty – regarded as the most culturally prosperous period in history – the hotel was inspired by the elegance and achievements of the era. A total of 1695 hotels, restaurants and spas inspected by Forbes Travel Guide made the star-rating list for 2019. Amongst them, 21 hotels with five stars and 49 hotels four stars were new additions.
