The Spirit Of Jamaica Shines Bright During The 2018 Annual Carnival Season

The streets of Jamaica are igniting with color and fun as the cultural celebrations of the 2018 carnival season kicked-off recently. This year’s bands include Bacchanal Jamaica, Jamaica Carnival, Ocho Rios Carnival, Xaymaca International and Xodus. http://www.tourismthailand.org/landing/landing_en.htmlThey will be hosting exuberant events leading up to the highly anticipated Road March on Carnival Sunday, April 8th. Visit Jamaica and join one, or all, of the Carnival bands in celebrating the destination’s vibrant spectacle of culture during their many exhilarating festivities.

“We are thrilled to be hosting yet another Carnival season in the Home of All Right,” said Donnie Dawson, Jamaica’s Acting Director of Tourism. “This is one of the most exciting times to travel to the destination as visitors and locals alike are able to take part in celebrating Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage.”

Following are the bands participating in the 2018 Carnival in Jamaica:

Bacchanal Jamaica

Bacchanal Jamaica, one of the original Carnival bands, is back again this year. Their theme ofRebirth will be bringing new experiences to the carnival season. Bacchanal Jamaica has a line-up of innovative events that are not to be missed.

Jamaica Carnival

Started by the late Byron Lee, the Jamaica Carnival band knows how to put on a party. As the movers and shakers of the Carnival extravaganza, their Royalty theme will be adding a bold and lively vibe. They creatively blend different types of sounds from the Island to create an experience unlike any other.

Ocho Rios Carnival

The north coast does Carnival unlike any other with the Ocho Rios Carnival band. This band has five different themes that are represented through colorful costumes of Tainos, Arawaks, Maroons, Soca Junkies and Red Ants. Their fetes for this carnival season are a must for anyone staying in the Centerpiece of Jamaica.

Xaymaca International

Back for its second year, Xaymaca International will be delivering an extraordinary carnival experience this season in Jamaica. Their Luxe theme promises to deliver an entirely new sceneon the road to Carnival Sunday as they put together unforgettable events in collaboration with Tribe, their Trinidad and Tobago Carnival partner.

Xodus

The Xodus band, which is also back for their second consecutive year, is a product of the Dream Entertainment team and Trinidadian band Y.U.M.A. (Young Upwardly Moving Adults). For the 2018 season, they’ve created a League of Angels theme and have planned a variety of fun-filled festivities.
