The Sultanate Of Oman World Traveller Episodes To Be Aired Across National Geographic Channels In Australia

The Ministry of Tourism, Sultanate of Oman recently partnered up with travel agency Adventure World to host the National Geographic Channel team on the ground in Oman.

NatGeo Aerial View over Daymaniyat Island, OmanNational Geographic Channel’s World Traveller Nick Saxon visited several regions of Oman’s including:  the fjords of  Musandam in the north, Muscat – the capital city,   the mountains of Al Dakhiliya and the golden sands of Al Sharqiya in the central region, and the lush green Dhofar in the south.

The short form stories aim to showcase Oman’s great natural diversity and range of activities available for those keen to explore the Sultanate, better  known as “Arabia’s Best Kept Secret.“

Nick Saxon, Muscat, OmanThe two stories (one focussing on Musandam, Salalah and Sur; the other on Muscat, Hajjar Mountains and Nizwa) are part of National Geographic Channel’s World Traveller series, airing on National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo People from April 7, 2014.

Nick Saxon, National Geographic Channel Presenter and World Traveller,  says: “When I think of Oman, It puts a smile instantly on my face. I was captivated with it from the moment I landed. There’s so much history, it becomes surreal that a land of so many surprises could exist. Not to mention the beautiful people and its culture. It’s a Must See destination for any traveller.”
