The Table Bay, Cape Town has been ranked in the Top 10 Best City Hotels in Africa in the recently announced Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards.

Staged annually by Travel + Leisure magazine, the World’s Best Awards surveys readers on their travel experiences around the globe. Readers rank hotels and resorts on their facilities, location, service, food, and overall value with Sun International’s five-star The Table Bay being placed seventh in these latest awards.

“There are many beautiful hotels in Cape Town. Certainly, our location at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is spectacular but it is our people and the warm hospitality that our guests receive that make them choose to stay with us time and again,” said The Table Bay General Manager, Joanne Selby.

“It is easy to do something special for someone, to treat a guest as though they are family. In this way, The Table Bay is remembered and we start to create a history with someone,” said Ms Selby.

The sophisticated Table Bay – part of Sun International’s premium SunLux Collection of hotels – was opened by former South African president, the late Nelson Mandela, in 1997.

The Table Bay continues to set its own standards in international service and luxury – with a defining local flavour. Its offerings are authentically South African and unique to the destination.

Set on the historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, with the working harbour, Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean providing its backdrop, The Table Bay offers convenient proximity to Cape Town’s business centre and dazzling array of tourist attractions.

The hotel presents 329 rooms offering panoramic views of the ocean or waterfront, an acclaimed spa, five beautiful function venues and a spectacular pool deck.
