The Travel Corporation Asia (TTC Asia) has been named ‘Best Tour Operator’ for the second time at Asia-Pacific’s most prestigious travel industry awards at the 30th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2019. Additionally, the company’s all-inclusive luxury River Cruise brand, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has received the ‘Best River Cruise Line’ Award. The TTG Travel Awards honours the best of the best in Asia-Pacific and this prestigious travel industry event marks a time for the industry to recognize the exemplary organizations and individuals that raise the bar of excellence.

Nicholas Lim, Managing Director of The Travel Corporation Asia said, “We are truly thankful to our partners in the industry for supporting us yet again for the second year to receive the ‘Best Tour Operator’ award. We are also extremely pleased that Uniworld is recognized as the Best River Cruise Line’. This shows us that our business partners have placed their trust and faith in our brands to deliver the best travel experiences on our guided holidays. We truly appreciate this recognition of the work that is done to deliver outstanding service, experience and value to every customer who books a holiday with our travel agents. We remain committed to our trade partners and will continue to look into ways of mutually growing our businesses in the near and distant future.”

TTC serves over two million customers each year, with over 40 offices across all seven continents. The company’s business is split between its guided travel brands such as Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Contiki Holidays, CostSaver, AAT Kings and its luxury brands Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, Luxury Gold, Inspiring journeys and Red Carnation Boutique Hotel Collection.

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has also just announced a new Make Travel Matter Pledge, in celebration of World Tourism Day. Guided by The TreadRight Foundation, a joint initiative between The Travel Corporation’s family of award winning brands, the pledge serves as the next step in a long standing commitment to sustainable tourism and conscious travel.

Every one of TTC’s 10,000 strong team members and 42 sister companies worldwide are committing to make travel matter, with its new official pledge standing to help protect people, planet and wildlife. In celebration of World Tourism Day, all members of TTC’s family of brands will use the opportunity to stand up and personally commit to share TreadRight’s ethos as travellers, as travel providers and as members of the global travel industry.

“Our Make Travel Matter Pledge is another step on our journey and an impactful one as it further solidifies our commitment to helping protect the destinations we work with, its communities and local wildlife,” said Brett Tollman, Chief Executive, The Travel Corporation and Founder, The TreadRight Foundation. “As responsible travellers, TreadRight’s ethos has become part of our company’s DNA and what we stand for, and we share our pledge with our guests as well as partners in hopes they will join us.”
