The Unveiling of A Unique Art Car by The Frog King Today Launched Hong Kong’s Art Week – Autumn Edition 2016
Art Week – Autumn Edition, presented by Hong Kong Art Gallery Association, was launched today with the unveiling of the Frog King’s first ever Art Car. The car, managed by Hong Kong based race team KCMG, is a Le Mans Prototype racing car with an ORECA chassis and impressive Nissan engine. It made history in 2015 by winning the world’s greatest sports car race – the Le Mans 24 Hours – a first for any Hong Kong team.

Frog King’s Art Car for Art Week – Autumn Edition
The eccentric and unconventional Frog King, also known as Kwok Mang Ho, has been pioneering conceptual and performance artist since the late 1960s and with his first ever car take-over he once again has broken boundaries and demonstrated his talent for transforming any space into an installation.

Hong Kong Art Week – Autumn Edition, sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Private Banking, launched today and runs until 9 November. An extensive programme of events will see over 100 activities across the city celebrating the diverse arts and cultural offerings of the city. Highlights include Art Treasure Hunts, a two day Art Symposium, Family Art Day in Tamar Park, world class music performances, artist talks, tours of galleries for students and a new arts festival for Hong Kong; The Gallery Walk for Charity, which will pulse through Central, Sai Ying Pun and Sheung Wan on Thursday 3 November.
