For the first time in two years Visit USA Travel Agent regional Expos kicked off at the Gold Coast. Last week over 80 enthusiastic local agents mingled with 15 USA experts and dined on a two course dinner at Oskars at Burleigh. This week was Newcastle’s turn with more than 100 agents in attendance at the Crowne Plaza.
Updating destination and product knowledge was the key interest. This is no surprise considering the USA is still proving popular with travellers as shown by the 11 per cent increase in visitor numbers last year despite with the weak Australian dollar.
Many agents went home with great prizes. Daniel Lowe from STA Pacific Fair and Jenni Byrne from Escape Travel Newcastle were the lucky recipients of a Fijian Air ticket to Los Angeles, Alamo car rental, $100 from Pinpoint and $200 from Expedia for spending money.
Next week the Visit USA Expo is visiting Campbelltown on Tuesday 02 August and has over 100 agents confirmed to meet the Visit USA experts. Last minute RSVP’s will be happily accepted through the Visit USA website.
Agents interested in attending can RSVP through the Visit USA website link here.
