Out of the Ordinary Outback Group is an organisation renowned for delivering fantastic outback experiences to travellers and is now the proud new owner of the White Cliffs Underground Motel.
The White Cliffs Underground Motel is a 32-room complex that has been providing a memorable Aussie experience to guests from all over the world for over 25 years. The hotel is a wonderful feather in the cap for Out of the Ordinary Outback, which is also home to TriState Safaris. TriState Safaris have delivered unforgettable outback adventures to Australian and international travellers alike for many years, travelling from Broken Hill to Broome and all the wonderful destinations in between.
Owner Scott Smith is passionate about highlighting tourism in far west NSW and very much looks forward to bringing the joy of outback travel to keen adventurers ready to experience the White Cliffs Underground Motel.
Located three hours to the north-east of Broken Hill and adjoining the Paroo-Darling National Park, the hotel ensures a peaceful stay in a comfortable and remarkable underground environment (a constant 22-23 degrees year round) – with the quiet, white washed stone-walled rooms offering a true sanctuary from the heat and outside world.
Scott takes over this unique property from Richard and Jenny Beach, owners for the past nine years whom, during their tenure, oversaw extensive renovations which included the addition of a new bar and reception area.
In addition to the licensed restaurant, café and bar, the complex offers a swimming pool from which to soak up the expansive views, BBQ facilities for guests and a games room for table tennis or a movie evening. Rooms can accommodate between one and five guests, with adjoining rooms also available for larger groups or families making each stay not only a unique experience but a practical one too.
Scott and all of the team from Out of the Ordinary Outback look forward to sharing the wonders of underground living with guests and delivering yet another genuine and fascinating Australian experience.
