There S’mores To Celebrate At Fairmont Scottsdale’s ‘Christmas At The Princess’ Festival

All is merry, bright and full of delight at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, as this AAA Five Diamond resort transforms into a winter wonderland in the desert during its annual “Christmas at the Princess” festival,November 20, 2014January 4, 2015.

The enchanting hotel glistens with holiday splendor featuring a four-story musical tree, the Desert Ice Rink, Princess Express Train, magical snowfalls, Lagoon Lights, a new Christmas Carousel – and of course – jolly ol’ St. Nick.

Over 2 million dazzling LED lights illuminate the resort’s majestic lagoons, where visitors stroll through a lit fantasy land to see graceful swans floating on the water, a buccaneer pirate ship, 14-foot poinsettias, a teddy bear, toy soldiers, a candy cane forest and a reflective Nativity Garden Light Show set to music. New for 2014 are lit leaping arches, Nessie the 30-foot Loch Ness Monster, 3-D giant reindeer, a 20-foot Snow Kong, elves peeking around trees and a singing tree family.

Other holiday festivities include strolling carolers, marshmallow roasts, lighting of the menorah and a nightly video light show set to music and projected against the resort’s facade. Several unique food and beverage experiences range from Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak to the new Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar at the TPC Scottsdale and La Hacienda by Richard Sandoval.

For pampering and relaxation, Well & Being Spa has “Naughty or Nice” holiday scented pedicures and body treatments. Shoppers rejoice with plenty of choices at the new Anna J ladies boutique, Maverick men’s store, a Christmas Shoppe and unique gift items at the spa’s Community Market.

The Magical Memories package start at $229 per night and include ice skating, express VIP access to the Princess Express Train and a$10 donation to Cox Charities. This package is based upon on availability, November 21, 2014January 4, 2015. Taxes and a daily resort fee of $29 are additional.

“Christmas at the Princess” is open to the public. Admission is complimentary for hotel guests and restaurant guests. Admission/parking for non-hotel guests is $30 for self-parking, per vehicle after 5 p.m. The light shows, Princess Express Train and Christmas Carousel are complimentary. Skating and photos with Santa are priced separately.
