These Days We All Want to Know Where the Food We’re Eating Comes From, Right? So Why’s What We Put on Our Skin Any Different?

These days we all want to know where the food we’re eating comes from, right? So why’s what we put on our skin any different?

That’s why Currumbin-based whole plant skincare company, A lpine & Sea , is working directly with small biodynamic and organic local farmers to source their skincare ingredients. Wouldn’t you rather have biodynamic macadamia nut oil or organic lemon myrtle essential oil from south-east Queensland on your skin than synthetic fragrances made in a lab?

There’s fewer ingredients in Alpine & Sea’s products – but they’re nutrient-dense and 100% vegan, and unlike most skincare ranges, no ingredient is ordered from a bulk warehouse where they’re stored in boxes for years and years.

Alpine & Sea have released five new skincare products, each of which have just a few highly potent Australian farm ingredients. Our Surf & Sun Skin Water (hydrating mist) is perfect for the beach, or after a day in the sun. It contains organic lavender water and essential oil from a fully-certified organic family-run farm in Tasmania. While our Jet Lag Hydration Skin Water (hydrating mist) is the ultimate in-flight travel beauty product. It contains organic rose water and fragonia, which is native to Australia.

Our Biodynamic Serum contains skincare ingredients sourced from small biodynamic and organic farms in south-east Queensland, including jojoba oil, macadamia nut oil, lemon myrtle, olive oil and avocado oil. We also produce a Do It Yourself Sheet Mask Kit , containing rose water, aloe vera and lavender water, and Island Bath Soak featuring sea salt from the mineral-rich waters of Tasmania’s east coast.

And because over 90 percent of skincare products in the world are packaged in plastic, we wanted to give the Earth a break and pack all our products in glass, and recyclable craft paper. Our carbon footprint is also reduced because the ingredients for our products aren’t shipped or flown from all over the world.
