Like many of the most popular things to do in New York, this event will benefit a worthy cause. All of the money raised during the 2013 Museum Gala will be used to further the museum’s science and education programs. Some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities will come to enjoy drinks, dinner, a live concert, dancing and more. This year’s concert will be provided by Florence + The Machine. The band will play with the incredible exhibits in the museum’s Ocean Hall Gallery as their backdrop.

The dining, music and dancing are only part of the fun. One of the highlights of this event is the live auction. In addition to the ticket sales, another large amount of money is raised to benefit the museum through this auction. Bidders splurge on a variety of prizes – many of which are one-of-a-kind. Attendees get swept away into the excitement of bidding for amazing prizes such as front row seats for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, tickets to the exclusive opening night at the Metropolitan Opera and many other items and experiences.

Tickets for this event cost between $1,500 and $10,000. Tickets for a table of 10 are also available for between $15,000 and $100,000. Those wishing to attend can contact the Museum for more information.
