This July Indonesia Tourism Highlights Bali & Lombok

Discover what’s new in Bali and Lombok when over 20 hotels, boutique villas and tour operators from Indonesia visit Sydney and Brisbane from 4-6 July.

“Bali is a perennial favourite of Australians and trade will receive an update on what is new and popular in Bali for couples, friends and families,” says Vinsenius Jemadu, Director For Asia Pacific Tourism Promotions, Ministry of Tourism, Republic of Indonesia.

“We also want to introduce Lombok to couples and families seeking relaxation and adventure or both,” he adds.

“Lombok is lush and undeveloped with pockets of luxury, adventure and chilled out spaces”, says Miriam Tulevski, Visit Indonesia Tourism Office, Country Manager, Sydney.

“Couples and friends can enjoy the pristine beaches of Mangsit Bay on the mainland or casual beachside bars and cafes on Gili Terawangan. Families can enjoy the Elephant Park in north Lombok, snorkelling or learning to dive as a memorable family experience. Adventurers can spend a few days trekking and camping on Mt Rinjani or surf one of the famous Lombok breaks,” adds Ms Tulevski.

The delegates include eleven hotels and villas from Bali including the new Park Regis in Kuta, the Pramana Hotel and Resort Ubud who will launch their Jungle Club in 2018 and the 5 Star Anvaya Beach Resort recently voted by luxury magazine, Indonesian Tatler as having the country’s best Indonesian restaurant.

Family, shopper and foodie customers may be interested in the popular Tony’s Villas & Resort in Seminyak, just a few minutes walk to the best bars and restaurants. Parents with young children will enjoy the centrally located b Hotel in Kuta with its kid’s club, the Santika Hotel or the Grand Whiz Hotel in the 5-star cocoon of Nusa Dua.

Couples and friends will enjoy the luxury and beauty of The Samaya hotels, located beachside in Seminyak or amid rice fields in Ubud. Wapa di Ume Resort, also in Ubud is set among lush gardens and is a short drive to galleries and restaurants.

Two accommodation providers from Lombok will attend. Affordably luxurious Puri Mas villas, one of only five boutique properties on the exclusive Mangsit Bay in Lombok.  And Jambuluwuk Hotels and Resorts Lombok from the popular Gili Terawangan.

Batam Island, in the Western part of Indonesia near Singapore will have one representative. The Batam View Hotel which is proving popular with long stay seniors seeking relaxation and golf.

Seven tour operators will join including specialists from Lombok, Bali, Eastern Indonesia and Beyond.

“We want Australians to consider Bali as a hub. After enjoying Bali visitors can continue on to destinations such as Lombok, Labuan Bajo in Flores and Yogyakarta in Central Java,” says Mr. Jemadu.

Presently the Government of Indonesia is developing 10 priority destinations also known as the ‘10 New Balis’. Lake Toba, Tanjung Kelayang, Tanjung Lesung, Seribu (Thousand) Islands, Borobudur, Bromo-Semeru, Labuan Bajo, Mandalika, Wakatobi, and Morotai are being matured to be ready to welcome tourists.
