The 2nd Swan Valley’s boutique wine festival, “Valley & Vines Festival” being held between 11am-4.30pm Saturday 5th April 2014, aims to show Perth locals just what is on their doorstep.
There’s no need for a three hour drive to the vineyards of Margaret River, as the Swan Valley is only a leisurely 20 minutes drive from the Perth CBD.
DSC_0578The Swan Valley region has a long and esteemed history of wine making dating back some 180 years, making it the ideal location for the festival.
Valley & Vines Festival targets anyone that has a love of wine, live music and delicious local food. It also aims to show tourists what the region offers in a compacted time frame.
The event sees festival goers choosing three venues to visit across the day in 1½ hour ‘sessions’ starting at 11am.  Each session will showcase the venue’s specific produce in wine and food along with a range of entertainment.
The Novotel Vines Resort has special room rates from $220 for the night for those not wanting to drive.

City of Swan Mayor, Charlie Zannino, has welcomed this event back after a very successful inaugural festival last year. “Last year’s festival brought hundreds of Perth residents into the region and was a great opportunity to showcase the wineries and the picturesque scenery our Valley is well known for,” he said.
“The Valley & Vines Festival is a great way to encourage the locals of Perth to get out here and see how much the Valley has grown over the years and enjoy some local wines and beer too. The City of Swan supports this initiative again in 2014 given the positive exposure that the Valley & Vines Festival gives to the Swan Valley,” says Mayor Zannino.
Tickets are available now for only $30 per person (plus booking fee) making it affordable for all to experience the Swan Valley region at this year’s Valley & Vines Festival.
The participating venues for the 2014 event include Carilley Estate, Duckstein Brewery, Ugly Duckling Wines & Jarrah Ridge Wines.
Tickets and more information on the event is available on the Valley & Vines website (www.valleyandvines.com.au) for only $30 per person (plus Booking Fee) but are limited so be quick and secure your ticket.
