Slots at the Viper Challenge are filling up, and interested participants have up to the 8th of August to sign up and test their mettle in Asia’s biggest obstacle challenge.

Set at the famous Sepang International Circuit on 17 and 18 August, the 20km challenge takes participants through fire, ice and mud, and includes more than 20 man-made obstacles that provide unique challenges to participants’ bodies and minds.

Designed to take participants out of their comfort zone, the Viper Challenge is organised by Original Bootcamp Sdn Bhd, the region’s first bootcamp organiser who launched the bootcamp craze over four years ago, and is supported by Malaysia Major Events, a division of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

En. Zulkefli Hj. Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), said, “We are excited that Malaysia will host the Viper Challenge at the Sepang International Circuit, the perfect setting for the unique and grueling obstacles that crown Viper as Asia’s biggest obstacle challenge. I am sure it will be an action-packed weekend for extreme sports enthusiasts and adrenaline seekers from Malaysia, Singapore and around the region.”

The first obstacle challenge of its kind in the region has already seen almost 8,000 participants sign up for the two-day event.  However, Selva Kumar, the man behind the Viper Challenge is expecting a last-minute increase in numbers as the closing date for entries draws nearer.

“We have received tremendous feedback since we announced the Viper Challenge a few months ago, and as the closing date draws nearer, we continue to receive a significant increase in queries.

“We created the Viper Challenge as a way for participants to truly test their fitness, resolve and determination, and we’re very confident that those taking part will experience a challenge like no other,” added Selva.
