Tigerair Australia Launches Latest Product Innovation: ‘MoveMe’, An Affordable And Convenient Way For Customers To Change Flights On Short Notice.
For a small fee, MoveMe gives Tigerair customers who arrive early or late to the airport the option of transferring to another service on the same route without incurring any additional change fees. MoveMe is available on Tigerair services between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, provided that sufficient seats are available and the replacement flight is on the same day of travel.
MoveMe customers running late for their flight have up until 15 minutes after their original scheduled time of departure to approach the Tigerair check-in counters and be moved to the next available flight free of charge.
Alternatively, ‘early birds’ who have purchased MoveMe are able to move to an earlier flight if they wish. MoveMe customers who are running early are required to present at the check-in desk for the earlier flight no earlier than two hours prior to the earlier departure time and no later than 45 minutes before the earlier flight’s departure time.*
MoveMe can be purchased for $12 one way during the online booking process or post booking, via ‘Manage My Booking’ on tigerair.com.au up until 72 hours prior to departure.
Tigerair Australia Commercial Director Adam Rowe says: “MoveMe will help take the stress out of flying for those who may need to change their plans and offers peace of mind for those who may occasionally run late.
“Essentially, MoveMe is a low cost version of a “flexi fare” for same day travel on selected routes where we have the most frequency and will likely be popular with passengers who are unsure about which flight they want to take on the day and passengers who have booked in advance and need to change their plans.
“MoveMe is designed to make it easier, more convenient and seamless to fly Tigerair than ever before.
“Tigerair Australia continues to strengthen its operational performance. In 2015, Tigerair Australia led the low cost carrier market in on time performance and had a cancellation rate which was three times more reliable than our key competitor on like for like routes, along with record-high levels of customer satisfaction^,” Mr Rowe adds.
*Customers wanting to use MoveMe must present to check-in staff at the airport on day of departure to make their preferred alternate travel arrangement. MoveMe flight changes cannot be actioned online or via the Tigerair call centre.
^Results from the most recent independent Tigerair Australia customer satisfaction survey in December indicated that overall customer satisfaction was at 75%, an equal record high for the airline.
