Tigerair Australia has today launched ‘tigertunes’, a new promotional competition aimed at aspiring musicians who want to get their original music heard by up to 600,000 people per month.http://www.granmonte.com/

In good news for aspiring artists, the opportunity to be featured on-board Tigerair flights is now open to all unsigned musicians over the age of 18 who would like their original music to receive further exposure.

To get involved, artists must simply submit their personal bio, photo and social media handles, an audio recording of the song they would like featured and the song lyrics in Word or PDF format totigertunes@tigerair.com.au (from today through to 1 July 2018).

There is no limit to the number of songs able to be submitted, however all songs must be original and submitted in uncompressed WAV format with a size limit of 75MB. No covers will be eligible.

Each month during the competition entry period, the Tigerair team will review all submitted tracks and successful artists will be contacted directly by a Tigerair Australia representative.

Successful artists will have their music played on-board selected Tigerair Australia flights for a period of up to two months, exposing their tunes to 1.2 million people over this period of time. Their tracks will also be promoted on Tigerair Australia’s dedicated ‘Tigertunes’ webpage (https://tigerair.com.au/fly/tigertunes) during the same time.

The good news doesn’t end there, with one lucky ‘Tigertunes’ artist to be chosen to play at the 2018 Airlie Beach Festival of Music, with flights and accommodation for the event to be provided by Tigerair Australia.

As part of Tigerair’s recent sponsorship of the Airlie Beach Festival of Music, the airline will also feature a number of the festival’s previous acts on-board Tigerair flights.

Tigerair Australia Commercial Director, Andrew Maister, says the airline is looking forward to providing aspiring artists with a platform for their music to be heard by a broad range of people.

“At Tigerair Australia, we’re excited about the possibility ‘tigertunes’ presents. We see ourselves as an airline for the everyday Australian and this initiative gives us the chance to move away from mainstream music heard on the radio and throw our support behind grass roots Australian musicians instead.

“We’re especially looking forward to providing one lucky ‘tigertunes’ entrant with the chance to springboard their music career by performing at next year’s Airlie Beach Festival of Music in front of thousands of people.”

Entries open today and the competition will close on 1 July 2018. Some conditions apply. For more information about Tigertunes including full terms and conditions, head tohttps://tigerair.com.au/fly/tigertunes.
