Tigerair Australia will proudly carry members of the Melbourne Storm playing squad, coaching staff and ten lucky Storm fans to Brisbane later this morning ahead of this weekend’s blockbuster top four clash with the North Queensland Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.
As part of a recent Tigerair Australia competition, five Storm fans won the chance for them and a friend to sit alongside their playing heroes onboard TT522 from Melbourne to Brisbane today, along with a double pass to Saturday night’s sell-out NRL double header at Suncorp Stadium, two nights’ accommodation in Brisbane thanks to the new Ibis Styles in Brisbane, transfers compliments of Bluebird and $500 spending money.
To make their flight even more memorable, the Storm contingent will travel onboard Tigerair’s ‘Cameron Smith’ A320 aircraft, which was recently re-badged with Melbourne Storm livery and named after the Storm skipper to celebrate Tigerair’s five year partnership extension as official airline partner of the team.
Winners will be treated to a special VIP experience tomorrow night where they will be able to watch the team warm up from the sidelines before the big clash and head into the Melbourne Storm change rooms post game.

Tigerair Australia Commercial Director Adam Rowe says the Fly with the Team competition is another example of the airline and Storm teaming together to provide fans with a range of engaging activations and special offers.
“As official airline partner of the Melbourne Storm, we are passionate about continuing to provide Storm fans and members with a host of exciting new experiences and opportunities to help them see their team in action more often.”
Melbourne Storm Chief Commercial Officer Ben Dunn says today’s Tigerair ‘fan flight’ presents a unique opportunity for Storm fans wanting to take their support for the purple pride on the road.
“We’re excited to be able to offer our members and fans the chance to fly with the team to Brisbane for the NRL Double Header match against the Cowboys.
Our partnership with Tigerair allows our supporters every opportunity to travel interstate to support their team.”
Competition winner and Storm fan Grant South has a prime seat on the flight near Melbourne Storm star Cooper Cronk and says it is the perfect way to kick off a big weekend of supporting the Storm with his partner Libbie.
“Getting the chance to fly up to Brisbane with the team today is an absolute dream and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We’re so happy Tigerair chose us and we can’t wait to get to Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night and cheer on the boys in such a massive game.”
The third-placed Storm is hosting a ‘home’ match against the reigning premiers as part of a huge NRL double header at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday evening, with a clash between the Sea Eagles and Broncos to follow the Storm and Cowboys game.
Tigerair Australia and Melbourne Storm extended their agreement from 2016 until the conclusion of the 2020 NRL season, extending the partnership into an eighth consecutive season.
