Tigerair Australia has launched an online one-stop shop to let its customers book packages, holiday components and insurance, as well as flights, from its website.
A Tigerair statement yesterday said the initiative, called Tigerair Travels, “combines great value fares, accommodation and a range of other optional extras including car hire, tours, activities and travel insurance, and allows customers to tailor their holiday to suit their budget”.
Tigerair Australia commercial director Adam Rowe says the addition of an official holiday package experience is another sign of Tigerair’s commitment to providing customers with more value and choice than ever before.
“Tigerair Travels is another way we’re making travel easier, more affordable and more convenient for passengers. With Tigerair Travels, passengers can go on an affordable holiday with Tigerair Australia to many destinations around Australia as well as to Bali, our first international destination.
“Tigerair Travels not only allows customers to book all-inclusive holiday packages with us for the first time, but it also continues to bolster our ever expanding product portfolio that is designed to continually improve the Tigerair experience for our customers.”
Holiday packages currently available on the Tigerair Travels website include six nights’ twin-share accommodation and return flights from Perth to Bali from AUD 371 per person. Another deal: three nights’ twin-share accommodation and return flights to the Gold Coast from Sydney for AUD 242 per person.
The website is https://holidays.tigerair.com.au/au. Additionally, Tigerair Australia has set up a dedicated Customer Contact Centre to handle phone inquiries and bookings relating to Tigerair Travels.
In another initiative, Tigerair Australia has launched a sale called “It’s Not Our Birthday, But The Party Is This Way”, with super-cheap domestic (and Bali) airfares over the October-December period.
Competitor Jetstar is holding a birthday sale at the moment (“Return for FREE”) – which is no doubt more than just coincidence.
The Tigerair sale is available on 15 domestic routes and all three Bali routes for travel between early October and mid-December 2016. It runs until midnight tonight (AEDT) and features one-way fares from AUD 29 for a Sydney to Gold Coast trip. Melbourne-Denpasar is AUD 119.
