Experiencing the creative hubs of Johannesburg. Tim and Anna kicked off their trip by immersing themselves in the city’s historic sites before exploring the uniquely creative Maboneng Precinct, stopping at Arts on Main for lunch in the courtyard of restaurant Canteen.
Hanging with the locals. Whilst staying in Phinda Tim and Anna hung out with some of the local children, an experience they described as very loving, heart-warming and unforgettable.
Spotting the Big Five. The pair set off on a series of game drives at &Beyond Phinda Game Reserve where they came across some of South Africa’s majestic wildlife, including the Big Five. Tim loved his time here so much he even recommended the property to his parents, thanks to the luxurious accommodation, delicious food and warm staff &Beyond offers.
Hanging with the Big Cats. Whilst spotting the Big Five, Tim and Anna came across a pride of lions lounging amongst the reserve’s rich vegetation.
Wine tasting at Grande Provence. Before hitting Cape Town, the couple stopped by the magnificent Franschhoek Valley for some world-class food and wine tasting amongst the romantic and picturesque grounds of Grande Provence.
The colours of Cape Town. Tim and Anna spent their last few days in South Africa discovering the sites of Cape Town, including a visit to Table Mountain, a trip to Boulders Beach and a tour exploring the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap.
Sunset from the sea. Finishing their trip in Cape Town, the pair spent their final night at sea where they were treated by one of South Africa’s spectacular sunsets, complete with the magical views of Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront.
