The Australian travel trade are invited to register now for Tok Tok Vanuatu 2014, which will be held in Vanuatu from 25 to 30 August 2014.

Wholesalers and travel industry buyers from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, the USA and New Caledonia will be able to interact with Vanuatu partners throughout the tradeshow to gain a firsthand insight into the exotic archipelago paradise.

Tok Tok Vanuatu 2014 will kick off with two days of pre-tours to the outer islands of Tanna, Espiritu Santo and Malekula followed by two days in Port Vila for pre-scheduled meetings, local touring options and hotel site inspections. Proceedings will then be closed with a gala dinner on the 29 August.

Tok Tok’s tours have been designed to give buyers the chance to discover the incredible topography and culture of the destination such as the Mt Yasur volcano on the island of Tanna, local customs of the ni-Vanuatu people, and the crystal waters of Champagne Beach on Espiritu Santo. Malekula is a new addition this year as a tour option allowing buyers to discover another of Vanuatu’s outer islands which is rich in culture. The compulsory pre tours to Tanna and Espiritu Santo take place from 26 to 27 August.

Vanuatu Tourism Office’s General Manager, Linda Kalpoi said Australia is Vanuatu’s biggest visitor market and the relationship between Australian wholesalers and Vanuatu partners is integral to the growth of tourism, making Tok Tok Vanuatu 2014 a key event for the destination.

“Having recently returned from the Vanuatu roadshow, which included events in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, we’ve seen the deep interest the Australian industry has in Vanuatu, and now Tok Tok is the perfect opportunity for wholesaler buyers to experience the pictures and words we presented, firsthand.

“Not only can buyers meet face-to-face with partners such as hotel providers and tour companies, they can also mix business with pleasure and explore the destination with specially created pre-tours to Tanna and Espiritu Santo.

Following our very successful roadshow we know buyers are very keen to visit and hear the latest updates in Vanuatu, and we are ready to welcome them with open arms,” Ms Kalpoi said.
