Splendours of Rajasthan

Known as the ‘Land of Kings’, the Indian desert state of Rajasthan is the country’s largest and most romantic. Full of splendid forts and historic palaces, vibrant bazaars and vast desert landscapes, its people are also colourful. You’ll see the country’s brightest saris, cotton turbans in all the colours of the rainbow, glittering jewels and cities painted in bold hues.

On an A&K journey you’ll unearth all that this surprising region has to offer in just two weeks, from bustling cityscapes to remote countryside. There are iconic attractions aplenty – Delhi’s Red Fort and inimitable Taj Mahal, the Pink City of Jaipur, Jodhpur’s breathtaking Mehrangarh fort and the lakeside charms of Udaipur.

A Cape Christmas

Thinking of taking off this summer with the family in tow? Then South Africa is hard to beat. As well as being blessed with stunning landscapes, exciting wildlife, a vibrant gastronomic scene and an easy-going culture it also offers educational and entertaining options for youngsters. Two game reserves are featured on A&K’s family adventure with tailored bush activities for young and old. There’s junior tracking, bug identification, art workshops, star gazing and more. Plus time spent in beautiful Cape Town mountain biking, visiting the aquarium, touring townships, climbing Table Mountain and meeting local children.

A&K’s 12-day ‘A Family Adventure in South Africa’ itinerary is priced from $8,260 per adult and $5,490 per child (6-15 years).


Be one of the first to set sail on A&K’s new all-suite ship, Sanctuary Ananda, which launces on the Ayeyarwady River in November. Shaping up to be one of the finest vessels cruising the river, it has been custom built for local conditions and will carry no more than 48 guests. This summer, cruises will be 3, 4 or 7 nights exploring the waterway between Bagan and Mandalay. Highlights include temples, pagodas, palaces and monasteries. Southeast Asia: Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam

For the ultimate white Christmas take the family to Antarctica on board A&K’s MV Le Boreal. There’s no better way to capture a teenager’s imagination (and parents too) than being part of an expeditionary cruise to the White Continent. Tale of 3 Cities

Three of Europe’s most cultured cities are nothing short of spectacular during the festive winter months with a chill in the air, ice rinks, festive markets and warm winter fare, rug up and take it all in. Starting in the Hungarian capital, you’ll be dazzled by this beautiful city, which straddles the Danube. Budapest is full of charming cobbled streets, old churches and architectural marvels galore. Inside Chile

With so many similarities to our way of life here and a climate to match, Chile is a wonderful summer destination. It has some of the most diverse landscapes on earth from the dry desert of the Atacama in the north to the Alps and glaciers of the far south and the Mediterranean climate of the central vineyards regions. There are cosmopolitan urban attractions in Santiago, wilderness adventures aplenty and some of the most stunning lodgings around.

Arabian Odyssey

Either as a stopover en route to Europe or a stand-alone luxe adventure, Oman has much to recommend it. There are wild wadis, an untouched coastline, spectacular deserts, ancient forts and castles and dramatic scenery everywhere you look. It also has one of the oldest civilisations on the Arabian Peninsula and is one of the most surprising and unspoiled destinations in the Middle East.
