Topdeck has launched its Festivals & Events 2013/2014 brochure featuring new ‘Build your Own’ itineraries to the Running of the Bulls and Oktoberfest and a dedicated adventure to a quirky wine throwing festival.

The 32-page program features over 40 itineraries covering Europe’s most amazing and eccentric celebrations including La Tomatina and Las Fallas, New Year, Christmas and Easter festivities, Anzac Day in Gallipoli 2014 and more.

The brochure has been released four months ahead of schedule to coincide with the release of Topdeck’s Europe 2014 program, making it easier for EGT_Artical Banner B 250x250travellers to combine a festival with their European adventure.

Topdeck’s new 7-day Spanish Wine Battle visits the Haro Wine Festival, a festival still largely tourist-free in the La Rioja region of northern Spain, from $999* per person. The festival culminates in the ‘Batalla del Vino’ (wine battle) where revelers dressed in white have one objective – to douse fellow festival goers in as much red wine as possible.

The trip departs Barcelona and includes a driving tour of the city, festival celebrations, a visit to Madrid, hostel and tent accommodation, daily breakfast, three dinners, transport and Topdeck trip leader and driver.

Topdeck’s new Build Your Own packages for the San Fermin Running of the Bulls at Pamplona and Oktoberfest lets you choose your own travel dates, pay a nightly fee and experience these popular festivals at a time that suits you.

They include minimum two nights’ accommodation, breakfast daily, return coach transfers to the festival and services of Topdeck crew from $89* per person per night for Pamplona and $59* per person per night for Oktoberfest.

A range of trips which combine Pamplona festivities with sightseeing are also available including the 8-day San Fermin & San Sebastian which includes three days in the relaxed seaside city of San Sebastian from $799* per person.

Other Oktoberfest itineraries include the 7-day Grossmeister which departs London and includes festivities, an excursion to Dachau Concentration Camp and a visit to Prague from $629* per person.

“Our Festivals & Events program has been released hot on the heels of our Europe 2014 summer brochure to help travellers mix and match a festival with a European trip,” Topdeck Asia Pacific Director of Sales Ben Ittensohn said.

“As the summer ends, the countdown for some of Europe’s most amazing and eccentric celebrations begins, from the masked celebrations of Venice Carnival, to the fiery Las Fallas festival in Valencia, the Irish knees-up of St Patrick’s Day in Dublin and the riotous festivities of King’s Day in Amsterdam.

“Topdeck has been working the festival circuit for more than 30 years so we know the ins and outs of the festivals we visit. While there are a number of new players in the festival space, Topdeck’s focus is always on quality with all of our accommodation in close proximity to the all action and European-trained road crew leading our trips.”

Topdeck also has New Year packages in new destinations such as Krakow and Madrid which include festivities, 3 nights’ accommodation, walking tours, breakfast, one dinner and services of a Topdeck trip leader.
