Tour guide launches outrageous f**k Chinatown rant

October 24, 2014 Destination Global, Headline News No Comments Email Email

egtmedia59An extraordinary expletive-filled rant by a tour guide holding a microphone in one hand and waving a bottle in the other has startled tourism authorities in San Francisco.

The tour-guide, seemingly in wild mood and clutching her bottle with its unidentified contents throughout, is seen in a passenger video clip addressing tourists on the top of a double-decker sightseeing bus trundling through San Francisco’s Chinatown. The guide delivers a non-stop rant and rave, with racist overtones, about the neighbourhood and its inhabitants.

The unidentified guide was apparently on her last day of the job, according to a report by CBS’s San Francisco Bay area channel. Whether she knew it was her last day when she delivered the rant is unclear. Nobody seems to know who she is or what company she works for – or worked for.

The video shows the guide, who says she is originally from Los Angeles, talking through a loudspeaker to the tourists with a constant patter of comments like: “F**k Chinatown.  F**k your little herb gardens.  F**k your little seafood f**king markets and your turtles and your frogs.”

The video can be viewed here, but it’s so full of swearing it’s not suitable for the office – certainly not with the volume turned up.

At the end of the video, the bus hurtles into a tunnel, with the guide and the crowd screaming “F**k Chinatown, Go Giants”. The San Francisco Giants are the local Major League Baseball team – so there’s no sentiment against San Francisco, just against Chinatown.
