Tourico Holidays to Showcase New Advancements in Travel Distribution Technology at IPW 2015

Tourico Holidays, the world’s fastest-growing wholesale travel provider, today announced that it will showcase its latest advancements in travel distribution technology at IPW 2015, taking place in Orlando from May 30thto June 3rd. The 20-year-old Orlando-based company will demonstrate how its newest technology helps increase profits for travel sellers and widen distribution around the globe for suppliers.

“IPW provides the perfect stage to show current and potential travel clients how partnering with Tourico can help decrease overhead, increase margins, and simplify an often fragmented travel industry,” said Chris Keller, the Chief Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales for Tourico Holidays. “Over the past year, Tourico has introduced a number of new technologies and has streamlined operations, making it even more advantageous for our partners.”

Tourico Holidays will showcase the following innovations for agents attending the 2015 IPW:

Group Bidding Engine: In March, Tourico launched a Group Bidding Engine, where travel agents and other distributors submit highly-specific group reservation requests and selected hotels have a 24-hour window to bid on them. The completely transparent, real-time group travel marketplace simplifies the group reservation process and encourages healthy competition. Travel agents can also bundle their hotel selection with group transfers, activities, and attractions – making it a one-stop transaction for all group services.

Hilton Worldwide Connectivity: Tourico upgraded its connectivity platform with Hilton Worldwide – adding another 2,500 hotels in 814 cities to its inventory for a total of 4,000 Hilton hotels available throughout the globe. As a result of the recent upgrades, Hilton’s direct-connect bookings jumped by 23,000 in the first quarter of 2015, an increase of 153% year-over-year. First Quarter room nights also increased by 47,000 – or 188% year-over-year – and net revenue from the quarter increased by $7.4 million.

Pre-Buying Activities: Tourico recently announced that it is now pre-buying activity and attraction tickets from key suppliers – giving clients access to heavily discounted rates, no blackout dates, last-minute availability and more inventory. This is an extension of the company’s highly successful hotel pre-purchasing strategy branded ‘ExclusiveDeals.’

“Book by the Door” Home Rentals: Tourico has developed groundbreaking “Book by the Door” technology that provides clients with an on-location view of specific vacation home properties located around the world. Using the technology, companies and agents can access high-resolution imagery of more than 20,000 individually photographed vacation home properties – affording them greater confidence in booking on behalf of their client, and the ability to provide a superior level of customer service.

‘Deals x Destination’: To make it even easier for clients to find the very best deals in Tourico’s massive inventory, the company has introduced a “Deals” tab that aggregates promotions, preferred partnerships, and best-value offers based on location. Clients can now visit the Deals x Destination page to download the deals sheet or sign up and get the most current deals sent via email.

Tourico also has a newly re-designed TH Collection of hand-picked international deals and preferred rates that will be making its debut. IPW attendees can visit booths 1056 and 1057 to get a look at Tourico’s new offerings and to learn about what’s coming soon – including the new cruise brochure.
