The 29th Tourism and Hospitality Educators Forum will explore these issues, in the light of new technologies, socioeconomic impacts, and contemporary issues in tourism, hospitality, and transportation.

Sponsors and presenters include Amadeus IT, the world’s largest travel booking provider, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the World Tourism Institute, and leading educational institutions engaged in tourism research. The conference will be attended by tourism and technology educators, influencers, stakeholders from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United States, Europe, and Africa.

First held in 1989, the nonprofit multi-national forum is devoted to education, research, information, and technology in the tourism and transport fields. The 2017 symposium will address the complex business, technological, cultural, and environmental challenges facing the global tourism industry today. The forum will explore changing business and education models necessitated by new technologies and recent current events; the impact of natural and manmade disasters; changing socio-economic conditions; political and governmental impacts; and the cultural and commercial effects of global climate change.

Among all others, tourism and hospitality educators are the most influential spokespeople in bequeathing to future generations the quest for knowledge, understanding, appreciation of diverse cultures, and world peace.

Now, more than at any time in human history, we need to tell the world what we have to say. Say it at the Tourism and Hospitality Educators Forum, and the world will hear.

Because of you, people engaged in tourism across the globe can make the world a better place, by growing understanding, appreciation, and respect, and fostering the ongoing pursuit of knowledge and scientific advancement.

If we do not, who will?

Paper submissions are accepted until October 14. Registration is open until all seats are filled; 15 seats currently remain.
