Tourism New Zealand has partnered with Network TEN’s high rating lifestyle programme The Living Room, as part of a campaign to showcase New Zealand’s West Coast (South Island) and Northland (North Island) regions to Australians.

A series of travel stories set to air from 23 February 2018 will feature Bachelor star Matty J who will join hosts Amanda Keller, Miguel Maestre and Grant Denyer for the program’s seventh series.

Celebrity chef Miguel Maestre visits the subtropical Northland and Bay of Islands to uncover local food stories, while Matty J explores the majestic Franz Josef Glacier and Amanda Keller discovers Christchurch with former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw.

Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive, Stephen England-Hall says travel shows are an effective way to reach potential visitors and a valuable platform to raise New Zealand’s profile as a holiday destination.

“We’re thrilled to be the first international destination on Network TEN’s The Living Room and reveal regions Aussies might not have discovered yet.

“Australia is New Zealand’s biggest international visitor market, counting for almost half of all holiday visitors. This activity is part of our latest campaign to drive our holiday visitors beyond the gateway tourist spots and explore new destinations in New Zealand.”

The third episode of The Living Room featuring New Zealand airs on Friday 23 February 2018 at 7.30pm AEST on Network TEN in Australia and Choice TV in New Zealand.
