unnamed (50)Leading sales and marketing representation company Tourism Portfolio is today pleased to announce the addition of the award-winning Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island to its collection of world-class luxury Australian properties.

Southern Ocean Lodge is perched on Kangaroo Island’s south west coast, just 15km from the shores of mainland South Australia. Accessed via a quick flight or leisurely ferry passage from Adelaide, the property is an ideal destination for small-group incentives and events, with 21 luxury suites each providing panoramic views of the great Southern Ocean, along with lavish lounge and sleeping areas, a glass-surround ensuite and private outdoor terrace.

Local-produce and an extensive South Australian wine selection are featured in the lodge’s restaurant and bar, while The Southern Spa offers guests rejuvenating signature treatments using Kangaroo Island botanicals.

With one-third of Kangaroo Island covered by native bushland, the destination is also ideal for wilderness treks and naturalist guides offer first-hand encounters with the abundant wildlife on ‘Australia’s Galapagos’, including sea lions, osprey and kangaroos.

Tourism Portfolio Director Donna Kessler says Southern Ocean Lodge was the ideal venue for small groups and incentives seeking a luxurious retreat to one of the world’s last unspoilt destinations.

“Southern Ocean Lodge has won global acclaim because it combines the highest-quality accommodation, dining and service with some of the best experiential tourism Australia has to offer,” says Kessler.

“There is no doubt that this spectacular property has enormous appeal to small groups and incentives looking for a world-class experience with a distinctly Australian flavour.”

Southern Ocean Lodge founder James Baillie says Tourism Portfolio has a rare combination of knowledge, talent and experience to ensure the property entices Australia’s MICE market.

In addition to Southern Ocean Lodge, Tourism Portfolio’s stable of award-winning luxury properties includes The Byron at Byron Resort & Spa (NSW), Chateau Élan at The Vintage (NSW) and Lake House Daylesford (VIC).
