Tourism Promotion Organisation (TPO) as the heart of Asia Pacific’s tourism

TPO sees the importance of working together with its members – major cities in Asia Pacific region. It is a bridge uniting its member cities forming network amongst them for the development of tourism industry and was established since 2002.

The role of tourism of TPO emphasises human exchanges and communication that enhance mutual understanding among people. Its belief is on the significance in the quality of people’s lives and in the development of civil society. It works through preservation of tradition and environment individual to each city.

As a platform to drive tourism in Asian Pacific cities, TPO hosts regional meetings constantly for ideas in sharing experiences and knowledge and to keep the participation of its members going. More importantly, member cities put in ideas to develop new tourism products together. Their highly committed programmes are such as Overseas Joint Marketing, TPO Travel Agency Network, and Student Travel Exchange.

TPO connects with its members by effective media channels of sharing the latest news and keeping the updates of tourism information, including for travellers all over the world. Its main website features high quality articles and is in 4 different languages; English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese, also prevalent on web portals and inflight magazine. It publishes E-book magazine, TOURISM SCOPE and E-newsletter, Tourism News Patrol, delivering the captivating topical issues of the tourism industry.
