2018 is already proving to be an excellent year for tour operator software company, Tourwriter, who are currently expanding their business at a rapid rate. Headquartered in Wellington, Tourwriter’s international expansion is taking their software to all corners of the
globe. “Now located in 7 regions, our team is truly international and we continue to partner with customers globally, from countries as different and distant as Iceland, Japan, and Namibia. All this means support is never far away!” said co-founder and CEO, Glenn Campbell.

Over the past 12 months Tourwriter have been undergoing rapid growth across new markets, making considerable strides in Europe where customer numbers are flourishing.

Despite their notable international growth, Tourwriter aren’t forgetting their roots in Australasia and are remaining strong in their home territory thanks to their recently appointed Australasian Sales Executive, Yohan Huria.

“Yohan has a wealth of experience in sales, he’s extremely driven and for the cherry on top: he’s one of the most lovable people you’ll ever meet!” explained Tourwriter’s Head of Marketing, Denise Campbell, who works alongside Yohan in Wellington. Commended for his ‘no-stone-left-unturned’ approach to work, Yohan is already making waves as he makes inroads into his new territory.

Before starting with Tourwriter Yohan built up his sales career working for one of New Zealand’s most well known tech companies, Trade Me. Commended for his personable and approachable nature, as well as his value driven approach to business made him the perfect fit moving into Tourwriter, who pride themselves on their mantra ‘Your success is our success’.

Yohan explained, “Choosing to leave a truly amazing company such as Trade Me was not a light-hearted decision hastily made. When I chose to look into this opportunity with the Tourwriter team, one thing I kept a keen eye out for was the team’s propensity for doing better by the customer. This came across immediately, as unbeknown to me, Tourwriter was originally built by Glenn and Denise (and other tour operators) back when they operated
Experience New Zealand. The creator was originally the customer! It would be hard to be more customer centric, really.”

“I am really grateful and I do not take for granted the fact that I left one amazing company and now work for another amazing company. To me, the best things I’ve found so far about working at Tourwriter is we are a passionate group who are highly-open to different perspectives, and, we are a diverse team made up of over 40 people from around the world – hence all the different perspectives, I guess!“ Finished Yohan.

The new Australasian Sales Executive is a sign of more to come for Tourwriter, who not only finished off 2017 with an oversubscribed investment round, but were also named in the Deloitte Fast 500 in APAC for the 4th time. “Seeing Tourwriter’s hard work and passion payoff with accolades like the APAC Deloitte Fast 500 is a great honour and awesome to be a part of,” said Yohan. “We’re working with some amazing tour operators and our platform is
helping more and more operators realise their dreams, whether it be a more-hands off approach to management, to enjoy more time doing what they love, or, in another operator’s case, simply increasing capacity to deal with actual enquiries from 5 per day to 10 per day which in turn increases revenue potential to them by $100,000 more per week. I’m thrilled to be a part of it all!” he finished.
