Travellers to Tahiti now have a new source of inspiration following a tour of the island nation by six Australian and New Zealand social media influencers.
The group travelled across the South Pacific last week as part of a promotion between Tahiti Tourisme and social media publishing company Townske to develop inspirational content about the Islands of Tahiti.
Pictured (L-R) in Tahiti are influencers Jean Lim, Chelsey Johns, Samantha Lapham, Scott Pass, Marie Garrigou from Tahiti Tourisme, Sandy Brinsdon, James Vodicka, Camille de Laitre from Tahiti Tourisme and Daniel Clark from Townske.
Tasked with producing social media guides highlighting French Polynesia’s food, culture, arts and nature, the winners were split into three groups, with the nature-lovers travelling to Rangiroa in the Tuamotus to experience the natural wonders of the atoll, including a visit to a pearl farm, the island’s beautiful blue lagoon and a close encounter with dolphins in Tiputa Pass.
The other influencers spent time in the Society Islands, with one group travelling to Huahine to capture cultural highlights during an excursion to Mt Tapu and local archaeological sites, and the others immersing themselves in Moorea’s burgeoning culinary scene.
The Tahiti guides will be published on Townske.com and the Townske app over the coming months.
