Trafalgar has launched its 2018 Asia program offering travellers 22 hand-crafted journeys that capture the contrasts of the diverse continent. The comprehensive new collection features five new itineraries with smaller group sizes taking a maximum of 26 guests. After a sell-out season for Japan in 2017, three new itineraries have been added due to increased popularity, another added in India and the fifth taking in the new destinations of Singapore and Malaysia, each itinerary tapping into the themes of spirituality, nature and colonial discovery.

Spanning 12 countries – Japan, India, Sri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore and Malaysia, the enhanced program combines Trafalgar’s 70+ year legacy with smaller group sizes, flavour-packed tastes and enchanting local encounters to deliver travellers the true spirit of Asia.

Matthew Cameron-Smith, Managing Director, Trafalgar Australia, commented: “The global success of our Asia program, particularly in Japan and India, has demanded a significant expansion in 2018 and the introduction of two new destinations in Singapore and Malaysia. Following a sell- out season for Japan in 2017, the increased capacity next  year will make it easier for our agents to secure departures for their clients knowing that a wider range of immersive experiences are on offer. We’re pleased to offer agents the opportunity to sell more and earn more, as well as give their clients even greater choice. We are proud to offer an Asia program that marries peace of mind with immersive experience, connecting guests to the real Asia, making sure the memories that matter are created along the way.

With the 2018 Asia program, agents can also highlight its increasingly socially-conscious customer-base the Join Trafalgar sustainability initiatives. Working in conjunction with parent foundation TreadRight, Trafalgar has forged partnerships with local communities to help sustain communities and traditions. Guests can visit supported projects such as Cambodia’s Phare Circus which trains disadvantaged youth in visual arts. For those that want to take their trip to the next level, Me to WE experiences offer volunteer opportunities such as in Rajasthan, where they can actively contribute to a local development project.
