The passenger figures at the Berlin airports Schönefeld and Tegel developed positively in the first half of 2019. A total of 17,455,162 passengers flew to and from Berlin – which is an 11.9% increase. Flight movements also increased by 7.5% to 145,042.

Airport CEO Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup: “The capital region is and remains a highly attractive destination. We can look back on a very successful first half of the year. Together, the strong passenger volumes were handled well. Compared to the first half of 2018, almost 1.9 million more passengers were handled. The fact that the airports dealt with the growth so well is the result of the hard work and dedication of the FBB staff, our partners and service providers. For their great efforts I would like to express my thanks on behalf of the airport company”.

At Schönefeld Airport, 5,662,974 passengers took off or landed. The number of flight movements was 48,202.

At Tegel, the passenger numbers rose to 11,792,188. In the first six months, there were 96,840 flight movements at Tegel Airport.
