Travel technology leader Tramada Systems has been recognised by the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) as an Allied Member.The new status acknowledges Tramada’s long-time support of AFTA and its highly successful National Travel
Industry Awards (NTIA) program.

Jayson Westbury, Chief Executive of AFTA, praised Tramada for its role in driving the travel industry forward.
“AFTA’s success is built on the expertise and participation of its members, and we are very grateful to Tramada for working together with AFTA to promote our NTIA initiatives,” Jayson said.

Susan Enners, Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand of Tramada Systems, said: “We are delighted to
be recognised as an AFTA Allied Member. Our status as an industry partner to this esteemed group of travel
agents underscores our commitment to the ongoing development of travel agents generally and AFTA
specifically as the peak body representing their interests.”

This recognition supplements Tramada’s position as a Preferred Mid-Office Partner in the AFTA Chargeback Scheme (ACS). This scheme provides protection for AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS)-accredited agents against consumer debit and credit card chargebacks resulting from supplier insolvency. From ACS’s introduction in 2017 Tramada partnered with AFTA to develop a customised standard report which was made available at no extra cost for all tramada® clients to help them identify the impact of a supplier insolvency. The report is easily produced and provides detail regarding clients impacted and their financial exposure.

Tramada has also been a regular NTIA Finalist since 2013 which acknowledges many initiatives that have set the standard in travel technology in the Australian travel industry; the recent breakthrough announcement regarding the integration of live NDC content exemplifies this as it allows travel agents to efficiently manage bookings regardless of source, and importantly, without adding effort to post booking processes.
