Tramsheds Announces Christmas Calendar – Celebrating All the Hosts That Make Christmas Magical

Sydney’s most exciting food destination Tramsheds, will welcome an eclectic mix of Christmas markets, master classes and collaborative pop-ups throughout December, as well as the chance to dine at Tramsheds for free for a year.http://www.granmonte.com/ The innovative operators have specially curated decadent foodie experiences to say thank you to the hosts – the people who bind us all together during the festive season – sharing their passion for food, education, sustainability and Christmas.

A community hub of great food and good living, Tramsheds will open its doors to a range of bespoke Christmas markets on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December, filling the precinct with the scent of fresh pine needles, spices and gifts to make Christmas that little more special. Local stall holders will take over dynamic flexi-space Artisan Lane where visitors can shop for everything from sustainable re-purposed goods by Reverse Garbage, hand made jewellery at Chase Fate and wild child T-shirts by Daniel Marshall, to artist and contemporary jeweller Tiger Tasmine Design.

Bodega 1904, Supamart, Bekya and Naked Foods will also be on hand to help pair the most exquisite wines with Christmas menus, select the perfect live Christmas tree and supplying bespoke Christmas Hampers.

Day-to-day, a host of workshops and foodie collaborations will inspire even the most novice of cooks. Learn how to make Middle Eastern pastry with Bekya, perfect your pasta making skills with Flour Eggs Water, find out how to shuck oysters with Fish & Co, or what it takes to churn the perfect gelato with Gelato Messina.

Join Butcher and The Farmer, Bodega 1904, Osaka Trading Co., DUST and many more as they join forces to create Sydney’s most unique Aperitivo Hour every Fridaythrough December into early January between 5-7:30pm.  Excite your taste buds with canapés never before trialled in Sydney – think Spanish cuisine with Japanese flair, or Belles Hot Chicken served tapas-style.

Everyday diners can now experience the perfect Christmas bottle of red or white with the launch of Tramsheds Cheers to the Hosts wine. Groups of six and more can enjoy the complimentary bottle within all Tramsheds restaurants, thanking hosts for choosing to celebrate Christmas with us.

Enjoy a glass with Joel Humphreys from Bodega 1904 and learn about his family’s spectacular mince pies that take a year to create or join Butcher and the Farmer’s head chef for tips and tricks to create a mouth-watering leg of Christmas ham.

Guests are also invited to enter Cheers to the Hosts, an instagram competition offering a year of free dining for two at Tramsheds. Once a week, every week for a year, dine somewhere new in the Tramsheds precinct – with tastes from around the world and ever-changing seasonal menus, no week will be the same. To enter, upload a post thanking or celebrating their Christmas host to Instagram or Facebook accompanied by the hashtag #cheerstothehosts. The winner is set to be announced on Thursday 21 December 2017.
