Registrations are now open for the 2018 Travel Industry Exhibition in August. Event Director David Paterson, of the , said, “This free event has been designed for mobile and luxury agents and key MICE buyers, looking to discover exciting new suppliers and destinations, reconnect with existing suppliers, uncover the latest traveller trends and gain invaluable market insight from industry-leading speakers.

“Already, several high quality exhibitors have signed up; among them are Conferences & Incentives New Zealand [CINZ], Ayana Resort & Spa Bali, Spicers Retreats, Dubrovnik and Zagreb Tourism Offices and Travel Counsellors.”

The new format – redesigned following detailed industry research – has some exciting additions, making the industry-tailored event a must-attend business opportunity.

“One of the new features is the ‘Experience Hub’, this is a live interactive forum for products and destinations to showcase their unique offering – from live cooking demonstrations, to historical teachings or musical representation or by using virtual reality. The Experience Hub is a creative way exhibitors can ‘transport’ visitors for a truly memorable experience.

“We’ve also added a VIP Buyer Program. This new program offers a range of benefits to qualified buyers, including guaranteed attendance to the high-demand seminars and networking events.

“Networking is really important in the travel industry, so as well as the Travel Bulletin Networking Drinks on day one, we have added Farewell Cocktails on day two to give visitors more networking opportunities. Both of these events start at 6pm and will be on the show floor.”

The event now targets three key areas: the mobile travel agent, MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) and luxury travel, as a reflection of the strong, recent growth each of these sectors has shown.

“Adding the focus on MICE has seen many of Australia’s finest meeting and event facilities signing up to exhibit.”

Alongside the exhibition will be a high-class, free-to-attend seminar program. “This will offer attendees some great practical takeaways. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for businesses to learn highly useful, up-to-the-minute information from the finest speakers from within and outside the travel industry.”

Mr Paterson said the 2018 Travel Industry Exhibition was very pleased to once again be partnering with Travel Daily Group.

“We’re very excited about the remodelled 2018 Travel Industry Exhibition. It will deliver the exact type of event the industry wants. Industry feedback was for a new venue and date: we have that at Dockside Darling Harbour in August. Industry feedback showed a strong desire to showcase ‘product first’: we have that with the new stand model that has a uniform size, thus ensuring product does indeed come first.

“We’re also working on an exciting mid-year event, so ‘watch this space’!” Make sure your travel business gets on board: free registration now open for the 2018 Travel Industry Exhibition http://travelindustryexpo.com.au.

New date: 21-22 August. New location: Dockside Darling Harbour, Sydney.
