Travel Counsellors Managing Director Steve Byrne is delighted to announce that they are accredited participants of the  AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS).

Mr Byrne confirmed the company’s intent to join the scheme a few weeks ago and completed the online application process shortly after. Having now met ATAS’ strict criteria and professional standards Byrne stated, “we believe we share the same commitment as AFTA towards maintaining high professional standards within the industry.”

“ATAS will certainly give consumers a greater confidence in dealing with accredited agents, supporting our own focus on providing the highest standards of personal service to our customers, so we are very pleased to join the scheme.”

“We also commend AFTA for encouraging agents to offer consumers financial protection. As a company we are proud to offer our own voluntary and complete financial protection promise to our agents and their customers, so they know their money is 100% protected in the eventuality of any failure and have complete peace of mind. We encourage others within the industry to follow our lead.”

Westbury is delighted that Travel Counsellors are now accredited participants of the national accreditation scheme  ATAS.

“Travel Counsellors have publicly backed the ATAS scheme which focuses on elevating travel standards and benchmarking participants against a set of criteria. They should also be commended for implementing their own voluntary and comprehensive scheme of financial protection.”

“ATAS has a focus on professionalism, integrity and credibility and that will ensure the ongoing viability and important role of the travel agent now and into the future,” said Westbury.

“ATAS delivers a strong platform for consumer recognition of professional conduct and business ethics which ensures quality experiences for those looking to book travel through an accredited agent,” Westbury said.
