AccorHotels welcomed Adelaide’s business and travel industry professionals to an intimate showcase on Tuesday 10th May, at Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide. Over 140 guests attended the event, ranging from corporate travel bookers, meeting planners, conference organisers, corporate travel agencies, wholesale and inbound travel agents as well as government and sporting organisations within the region.
This inaugural event gave attendees the opportunity to discover the diverse range of accommodation, dining and event spaces AccorHotels has to offer across South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. Over 20 hotels varying from luxury to economy brands, participated in the showcase, with the line-up including Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, Mount Lofty House – MGallery by Sofitel, Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, Novotel Barossa Valley Resort, Mercure Geelong and ibis Adelaide.
The new signature meeting offering from Mercure Hotels, Mindful Meetings, was also introduced to attendees. Designed to deliver richer, more meaningful meeting experiences, the concept establishes ‘mindfulness’ as a key strategic pillar in delivering successful business events. Mindful Meetings aim to drive better outcomes for clients and events that are more fun and engaging for delegates.
The showcase was hosted by Amanda Bachmann, Adelaide based correspondent for Channel 7’s Sunrise, who kept the crowd entertained with some amazing giveaways including spa and accommodation vouchers, bottles of Champagne and a 4-night escape to Bali staying at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua and Mercure Bali Nusa Dua.
AccorHotels representatives in attendance included Adrian Williams, Vice President Operations VIC/SA/TAS; Darren Waite, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing VIC/SA/TAS and Charlotte Gutte, Director of Sales, Meetings & Events.
“The showcase event was a great way for our teams to promote AccorHotels’ diverse range of hotel brands as well as additional product offerings, such as the upcoming new build Sofitel Adelaide in 2018, to the emerging Adelaide travel market. We hope to make this an annual event and reconnect with Adelaide attendees in 2017,” said Adrian Williams.
