Leading online accommodation booking website Hotels.com celebrated its 25th year in style with a travel industry and customer party at STUDIO Sydney Tower.
Launching in the same year as the internet in 1991, the brand first began as the Hotel Reservations Network and provided customers with hotel bookings via the telephone.
Today, Hotels.com is owned by the Expedia group and operates under a completely different business model. Customers are now able to book on 89 localised websites and more than 1 in 3 customer bookings happen on a mobile device.
To celebrate the evolution of Hotels.com, the brand hosted an exclusive VIP party this month at STUDIO Sydney Tower. On the guest list to celebrate this 25 year milestone were a number of Hotels.com’s travel industry partners and its top customers.
Bachelor star, Tim Robards, was also in attendance to MC and celebrate the occasion.
Katherine Cole, Regional Director of the Hotels.com brand for Australia and New Zealand said the event was a fantastic way to celebrate the success of the brand and say thank you to all of Hotels.com’s supporters.
“Hotels.com couldn’t have reached this important milestone without the support of our industry partners and loyal customers.”
Hotels.com is also celebrating the success of their Hotels.com Rewards program which has hit 25 million members in its 25th year.
