EVA Air is continuing its winning ways by taking the top spot in two categories of SKYTRAX’s annual World Airline Awards, Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness and Best Business Class Comfort Amenities. SKYTRAX also affirmed that EVA is upholding its commitment to quality service as one of only nine 5-Star Airlines worldwide and ranks among the World’s Top 10 Airlines of 2017.  SKYTRAX revealed its World Airline Awards 2017 at the Paris Airshow on Tuesday, 20 June, 2017. The awards were determined through analyses of an extensive global passenger satisfaction survey that featured 320 airlines in final results. “No airline can overlook the importance of inflight cabin cleanliness and the impact it has on the customer travel experience. It is great testimony of EVA Air’s inflight cleanliness and cabin maintenance checks that this is second time in 3-years it has been voted by passengers as the World’s Cleanest Airline,” said Edward Plaisted, SKYTRAX CEO.

EVA also ranks second for World’s Best Airport Services and third for World’s Best Cabin Staff. SKYTRAX began rating EVA in 2008 and the airline has steadily updated, upgraded and improved service and products from check-in through the onboard experience and baggage claim. For example, EVA installed easy-to-read electronic maps in airport and introduced turn-down service for Royal Laurel Class passengers on long-haul flights aboard Boeing 777-300ERs. EVA takes care of details and, thanks to extraordinary staff efforts, offers unsurpassed onboard hospitality. The review and ranking organization first awarded EVA 5-Star Airline ranking in 2016.

“When we received the 5-Star Award last year, we made a commitment that EVA will not stop improving and innovating and will continue to uphold this honor. SKYTRAX has again awarded us 5-stars. This demonstrates the consistency of our top-notch service, “said EVA President Derek Chen. “I’m grateful to our EVA staff. Thank you for always doing your best to serve every customer. It is a great honor to receive support and recognition from passengers around the globe. EVA will never lose sight of our goal to be the very best. We hope every journey with EVA is one of pure relaxation and delight for every passenger.”

EVA’s emphasis on comfort and quality service doesn’t stop at the top cabin door. Passengers in every seat get benefits of the airline’s trademark warm, friendly service. Clean cabins are part of that service. From take-off to landing, flight attendants keep shared spaces neat and tidy and lavatories restocked.

Reflecting its recognition for Best Business Class Comfort Amenities, EVA has especially high standards for Royal Laurel Class on the Boeing 777-300ERs it flies to and from North America and on other long-haul routes. Royal Laurel Class passengers travel in luxurious comfort with award-winning wines, cozy pajamas, lie-flat seats, Rimowa amenity kits and more.

SKYTRAX conducted its survey in English, Spanish and Chinese among 19.87 million eligible respondents between August 2016 and May 2017.  The global ratings organization describes the survey as “independent, impartial and global” and its awards program is not-for-profit.

EVA is frequently honored, awarded and recognized by organizations worldwide. TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, honored EVA Air with two distinctions, “Top 10 Major Airline in Asia Pacific” and “Best Airline – Taiwan.” SKYTRAX,Travel + Leisure and AirlineRatings.com have ranked it among the world’s Top-10 Best International Airlines multiple times.SKYTRAX also scored EVA as the Best Airline Transpacific and, based on traveler feedback, as the world’s third Most Loved Airline.
