More than 70 Travellers Choice “frontliners” from across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia gathered in Melbourne recently to engage with almost 50 key preferred suppliers and receive some wisdom from celebrated “marketing dynamo” Aisla Page.

Travellers Choice regularly holds state-based Frontliner Conferences to enable its consultants to enhance their sales skills, deepen their preferred product knowledge and share ideas and advice with colleagues.

Travellers Choice marketing manager Robyn Mitchell says this year’s Melbourne Frontliner Conference – held at the Manningham City Council Civic and Function Centre – also saw suppliers present a series of state-based sales awards and agents take part in a workshop presented by strategic marketing specialist Page, author of the ‘Shoe String Marketing Kit for Small Business’.

“Since founding AP Marketing Works in 1999, Aisla has helped hundreds of small businesses identify and achieve their strategic marketing goals,” says Mitchell.

“The feedback from our Frontliners Conference shows that consultants who took part in her workshop have a better understanding of the value they provide, and that many are already employing some of the practical ideas and techniques they discussed in order to improve the way they connect with customers.”

Travellers Choice shareholders will also gather across capital cities next month for the annual Travellers Choice Member Meetings.

The group’s newly-appointed General Manager Sales Nicola Strudwick will join Chairman Trish Ridsdale and Managing Director Christian Hunter at the six events, which provide shareholders with a briefing on the company’s current activities and performance, followed by a discussion of some of the issues presently facing members and the broader travel industry.

The year’s meetings will commence in Perth on July 5, followed by Adelaide (July 6), Melbourne (July 7), Sydney (July 8), Canberra (July 9) and Brisbane (July 10).
