Travellers Choice members help shape group’s strategy

Travellers Choice members will meet in capital cities across Australia this month to have their say on the national retail travel group’s current and future strategic direction.

The meetings will be conducted by Travellers Choice Chairman Trish Ridsdale and Chief Executive Christian Hunter, who will also brief member shareholders on the company’s financial performance and provide an update on important industry developments such as AFTA’s efforts to reform travel agent licencing.

Hunter said the annual gatherings were an important part of the Travellers Choice culture.

“These meetings provide our member shareholders with a unique opportunity to receive direct updates on decisions of the Travellers Choice Board, as well as the chance to have any questions answered,” said Hunter. “It is an excellent example of the unrivalled level of transparency that exists within our business.

“At the same time, members attending the annual gatherings can highlight some of the specific challenges facing their businesses, and in the past that has often helped us collectively identify solutions that benefit our entire network.”

The year’s Travellers Choice Member Meetings kick off in Adelaide on July 10, followed by Melbourne (July 11), Sydney (July 12), Canberra (July 13), Brisbane (July 14) and Perth (July 16).
