Travellers Choice welcomes Greenhills Travel Centre

October 9, 2013 Corporate No Comments Email Email

Travellers Choice is pleased to announce Greenhills Travel Centre in the New South Wales city of Maitland as the newest member of Australia’s leading network of quality, independent travel agents.

Located in the lower Hunter region of New South Wales, a two-hour drive from Sydney, Maitland is home to around 70,000 people, many of whom work in the local mining and farming sectors.

Warwick ‘Curly’ Gladman, who launched his agency in East Maitland in June 1995, says that as a member of Travellers Choice his agency can now operate with greater individuality and flexibility, while still enjoying a wide range of sophisticated and cost-effective support services.

“Travellers Choice has been around for more than 35 years and it offers a warm culture, a proven business model and a level of independence that I think is essential, especially for country agents serving the unique needs of their communities,” says Gladman.

“As a member of Travellers Choice we also automatically become shareholders in the company, which means that we get to have a say in how our network is run. It’s a pleasure to now be part of a company owned entirely by travel agents.”

The arrival of Greenhills Travel Centre follows the introduction to the Travellers Choice network last month of NSW agency Mudgee Travel & Cruise and Victoria’s Kilmore Travel & Cruise Centre.

Travellers Choice Chief Executive Christian Hunter says the addition of all three agencies shows that the company’s co-operative philosophy and inclusive culture continues to resonate strongly with agents.

“Each of these businesses is well-established, successful and highly-respected in their communities, and as such they are all welcome additions to Travellers Choice’s expanding national network,” says Christian.
